CinemaCon Day Two wrapped up with a presentation from Warner Brothers. Warner Brothers kicked off their presentation with a montage full of clips of upcoming films, including 2026 releases. They said to prepare for “a new era of cinema” and showcased their wide range of films, from F1 toThe Conjuring: Last Rites to Wuthering Heights. While the focus was definitely on Superman, they offered a variety of genres and stories in their upcoming slate.

After the montage of upcoming films, CinemaCon audiences were treated to a message from Ryan Coogler about his upcoming film, Sinners. The film is in theaters in a few weeks, so no footage was provided of the highly anticipated film. Up next was one of the best moments of their presentation as Leonardo DiCaprio, Regina Hall, and Teyana Taylor were on hand to discuss their upcoming Paul Thomas Anderson film, One Battle After Another. Before introducing an exclusive clip, DiCaprio discussed how he’s yearned to work with Anderson for over 20 years and feels honored to be in this film. The Oscar winning actor said Anderson’s film taps into something political in our psyche that’s been there for a long time, but that the film is also on an epic scale; the film was shot on VistaVision. Hall spoke about how thrilled she was to not only work with Anderson but also the entire ensemble, especially her main scene partners, Taylor and DiCaprio. Taylor spoke about how fun it was to play such an interesting character with a tough exterior and vulnerable inside. The clip played focused on DiCaprio and Benicio del Toro with DiCaprio on a phone call. DiCaprio’s character says he’s fried his brain with drugs and alcohol and struggles to remember, leaning into DiCaprio’s best mode as a manic, high-energy character. The person on the other side of the phone is delivering such sharp comedic lines, we’re in for a real treat with the latest PTA. We also got a peak at Sean Penn, Tony Goldwyn (!!), Chase Infiniti and more in the film.

One Battle After Another opens exclusively in theaters on September 26, 2025.

Up next was my personal most anticipated title from Warner Brothers, Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Bride! While the film was recently pushed from a release this year to next spring, both Gyllenhaal and her leading lady, Jessie Buckley, were on hand to discuss the project and introduce the world premiere of its teaser trailer. Gyllenhaal said after her Academy Award nominated film The Lost Daughter she wanted something pop and more radical for her next project. She rewatched the original Bride of Frankenstein film and wanted to do a film more focused on the titular bride. She says her version is very different from any iteration of the famous story by Mary Shelley. Gyllenhaal said she is so interested in monsters, and we all have something monstrous inside of us, that’s why we gravitate towards monster films; we can spend our whole lives running from it but eventually have to face it head on. Buckley said she felt she was plugged into an electrical current reading the script and she’d honestly do anything Gyllenhaal asked her to do in order to be in the film. Buckley said her bride’s relationship with the monster is more of a punk adaptation and similar to a bond seen in Wild at Heart and Bonnie & Clyde. The Bride! was shot on IMAX, a first for Gyllenhaal, and on a 2.39:1 aspect ratio. Gyllenhaal, who wasn’t a huge IMAX fan before, is now a convert and said this format helped her bring this punk love story to the screen in the most cinematic format. The teaser for the film was absolutely breathtaking, a huge leap as a director for Gyllenhaal in both scale and style. It looks more in line with a punk-goth, sci-fi take on Bonnie & Clyde versus something you’d typically imagine for this tale. Christian Bale and Buckley in the short preview have intense, manic chemistry. The teaser trailer features the already iconic tagline, “here comes the mother fucking bride!”

The Bride! will hit theaters next year, March 6th.

New Line Cinemas took the stage next with an impressive lineup, including Mortal Kombat 2 and The Conjuring: Last Rites, however outside clips of new footage, nothing was presented for those titles. Final Destination: Bloodlines may have gotten the biggest reaction out of the presentation with its brutal footage showcased of a gnarly death involving an MRI machine, an absolute must see for any horror fan or fan of the franchise. Zach Cregger was on hand to introduce footage of his upcoming film, Weapons, which stars Julia Garner. Cregger mentioned he doubts the footage shown will ever be seen by the public and described the film as twisty-turny as Barbarian and while it may seem like one thing will be an entirely different film by the end. Weapons appears to follow a class of students who disappear one night entirely and how the town reacts to this disappearance. The footage was absolutely bone-chilling with incredible sound work, an absolute must see in a theater clearly, hopefully Dolby!

Following a nice horror showing, Joseph Kosinski and Jerry Bruckheimer were on hand to deliver the first ten minutes of their upcoming film, F1. The duo talked about all of the amazing races and locations they were able to shoot at, including their actors doing a lot of the driving themselves. The footage followed Brad Pitt at the Daytona race. The sound work was incredible, with a great score, and the camera did put the audience right in the car. The sizzler reel of footage after the opening scene, with a Shea Whigham spotting, seemed much more immersive in terms of the camerawork versus just the opening scene. F1 will definitely be a huge hit for Apple and Warner Brothers.

F1 races into theaters this summer, June 27th.

Warner Brothers showcased their animation studio being a focus for the next two years with many projects showcased. On hand in person to introduce footage of The Cat in the Hat was the titular character’s actor, Bill Hader. A clip of him as the Cat in the Hat from SNL was shown as he joked, he even self-taped for the role. There was a large discussion of focus on Looney Tunes being deeply important for Warner Brothers, which was an interesting discussion to hear after how the studio has been navigating with these characters. A montage full of other animated films was showcased with clips of Meet the FlinstonesOh The Places You’ll GoBad FairiesMargie Claus and Dynamic Duo

Finally, Warner Brothers wrapped up with their big film of the year, Superman. Peter Safran and James Gunn took the stage on behalf of DC Studios. Gunn started off the presenation and promised surprises would be announced, however, nothing new was announced and only Superman was even mentioned. No other DC property was discussed, announced or presented. David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult came out to join the DC duo and discussed their favorite memories on set and what they wanted audiences to take away from the film. It was a very long discussion with nothing new mentioned related to the film or the future of the franchise. New footage was shown, but it was just extended footage of scenes already featured in the trailer previously dropped.

Superman hits theaters on July 11, 2025.
