The first trailer for His Three Daughters dropped this morning. In the new film from writer-director Azazel Jacobs (French Exit), three sisters return to their father’s home to prepare for the worst as the film is a story of pre-mourning. Their father’s health is declining and time is running out for them to spend their last days with him. As they take turns at his bedside, old resentments resurface, and the sisters’ relationships face new strains in the intense setting of a shared apartment.

Will their father’s imminent death bring them closer together — or push them apart for good?

His Three Daughters is chamber piece that’s an emotionally devastating yet touching portrait of family dynamics starring Carrie Coon, Elizabeth Olsen, and Natasha Lyonne as sisters. The film is rounded out with supporting turns from Jovan Adepo (The Leftovers reunion!), Jay O. Sanders, Rudy Galvan, Jose Febus, and Jasmine Bracey

His Three Daughters will play in select theaters starting on September 6th. The film hits Netflix on September 20th.
